In Celebration of

Marilyn Jeanne Jack (nee Babcock)

October 4, 1946 -  May 26, 2022

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Credit Valley Hospital on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the age of 75.

Beloved wife of Richard Stankiewicz. Loving mother of Karolyn (Jeff), Dianne (Stéphane), and Allison (Shannon). Much loved Gramma of Tylar, Paige, Austin, Amanda, Chase, and Sadie. Dear sister of John Babcock (Janet) and the late Ron Babcock.

Some of the things we will remember and miss:
- her loving smile and bright eyes
- random acts of thoughfulness and generosity
- making Christmas so "extra" for everyone
- beautifully wrapped birthday and Christmas presents
- cottage scavenger hunts and Easter eggs hunts
- sideways glances and raised eyebrows
- being proud of having the loudest (and most fun) dock at the cottage
- delicious meals, desserts and leftovers
- the little wiggle to get her "mojo going"
- her love

A gathering to celebrate Marilyn’s life will be held at Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga, on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 6 -8 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to JRDF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).

My deepest sympathies to all who loved Marilyn dearly.
I haven't seen her in many years, but the Marilyn I remember will leave a lifetime of memories for you to cherish - full of love and laughter.
That was Marilyn.
She taught my Mom and us kids how to do "The Twist" back in the 60's, and I go back to that day of dancing and giggles in our livingroom everytime I hear the Chubee Checker song .
I was in awe of my older cousin, and my Mom, her Aunt Jean, adored her.
Rest In Peace,
Marilyn.

The time we got to spend both in Canada and Florida with Marilyn and Rich was made so warm and comfortable because of Marilyn’s ability to make people so welcome. She was a special, sweet lady! RIP and heavenly hugs.
