Not only second cousins but email friends since Marian returned to Scotland to attend her father's funeral. A few years later we visited Marian and Alan in Toronto and met Diana and Denver. We had walked to school together when young and reminisced about the past in our weekly correspondence. I am going to miss Marian.

Marian was a mom to me. One that i needed, she was there for me and understood me. She was there for me in very hard times. I would tell people i only have one true friend and i considered her my mom, Marian. We connected through our favorite soap opera Days of Our Lives. We loved to rant and complain about the show. I've always told her she should be a writer on the show. Maybe now Marian can tell the writers how the show should be written! Lol. I will always cherish my memories with Marian, and will still refer to her as my mom.

I am shocked to hear of Marian's sudden death . I am the other grand mother of the wonderful Denver. Alan you will be lost without her caring and concern for you My thoughts and prayers are with you and DIANA . I will be sure to care about Denver and wish for you calm and rest after this sad loss.
May God bless you in these days of loss and grief!

For the relatively short time I knew Marian, I always appreciated her wisdom, her kindness, her humour, grace and insight. She has left an irreplaceable void for my dear Diana, and an irreplaceable loss of a favourite Grandma for Denver.
Love,
M.B.
