It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother/grandmother on Monday, September 25, at the age of 82.

She was a dear wife to her husband, Vattayathil Cherian George, an ever-loving mother to her son Sanu, Molby (Daughter-in-law), and her grandchildren Aaron and Angelene. She always spoke to everyone about her grandchildren since they were her pride.
She was born in Kerala, India, and was the eldest of nine children. During her early years, she came to New Delhi to pursue a career in nursing. She studied in Safdarjung Hospital and was later employed by the hospital. For most of her life, she worked in the gynecology department. All who worked with her admired her dedication and passion for her work. She would love to serve all who were in need. She retired as the Assistant Nursing Superintendent from Safdarjung Hospital and moved to Canada in November 2000.

She loved to give unconditionally, no matter how difficult it was to support her family. It was also her love for her siblings that superseded all boundaries. One of the things she loved to do was to pray the rosary and the divine mercy. Her faith was strong, and she always loved to attend mass. She was very disciplined in her life and loved to be punctual in everything. Before every mass, she would spend time before the blessed sacrament. She received the sacrament of the anointing of the sick and, just before her passing, received the sacrament of reconciliation. One of the songs she loved the most was – “Shepherd of my soul, I give you full control, wherever you go I will follow.”

Friends may call to the Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel (1981 Dundas St. West, Mississauga, ON L5K 1R2) on Friday, September 29th, 2023 from 4 - 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Merciful Redeemer Parish (275 Erin Centre Blvd., Mississauga, ON L5M 5W2) on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery (6933 Tomken Rd., Mississauga ON – L5T 5N4). Everyone is invited to the Royal Palm Banquet (959 Derry Rd. E, Mississauga ON L5T 2JB) following the interment.
