It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that we confirm that our beloved mother and grandmother Maria da Trindade Almeida passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, at the age of 88. She was surrounded by her loving family at home.

Born on June 6, 1936 in Ribeirinha, S Miguel, Acores, Maria da Trindade was the daughter Manuel Cabral Amaral and Jesuina do Espirito Santo Pimentel.

Throughout her life, Maria da Trindade was a source of unwavering love, strength and guidance to her family and friends. She and Antonio Pereira de Almeida were married from October 14, 1960, until his passing, creating a life filled with love. Together, they raised 4 children: Simao Pedro (deceased), Rosa Maria (63), her spouse Gregory Deneault (deceased), Eduarda Margarida (61) and Tony Amaral (51) and his spouse Sabrina Almeida (47), who will forever be grateful for her love and support.

Maria da Trindade had a passion for life, peace, love and family, which she enjoyed with great enthusiasm. She was known for her outgoing personality, hard work and quick wit and will always be remembered by those who knew her best.

In addition to her children, Maria da Trindade is survived by 4 grandchildren Justin-Ryan Bernardo (35) and his wife Rebecca Anne Bernardo (32), Kayla-Lynn Bernardo (30), Aaliyah Michelle Almeida (17) and Simon Antonio Almeida (15) and many other relatives and friends who were touched by her warmth, kindness and love of life.

Family and friends are invited for visitation at Turner & Porter - Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario, Mississauga on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 2-4 & 5-9 p.m.

Funeral Mass at S. Salvador do Mundo Church, 1212 Melton Dr., Mississauga, on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 10 a.m.
