It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maria (Soriano) Ialeggio at the age of 86 on March 21, 2022. Her final days were spent surrounded by family whom she loved so much. Survived by her husband Theodore, sons Angelo and John, daughter-in-law Ana and granddaughters Petra and Maya. Maria is also survived by her brother Nicola Soriano in Italy.
Maria was born in San Marco Dei Cavoti, Italy where she met and wed her husband Theodore (Diodoro). They made the adventurous journey to Canada, settling and raising a small and loving family
Admired and respected grandmother, mother and spouse, she was best known for her cooking and talent as a seamstress creating many outfits for her granddaughters, which she took great pride in doing.
Maria will be deeply missed by the entire family and she can now rest in peace knowing she had a full life with loved ones.
A private family service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life and refreshments on April 1, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. at ViBo Ristorante (2995 Bloor St., West, Toronto)
