In Celebration of

Maria Jesus Francsics

April 16, 1944 -  November 29, 2020

Maria Jesus Francsics passed away peacefully and surrounded by the immense love of her three children Suzan, Frank and Daniel on November 29th 2020. Maria was a loving grandmother to her three grandsons Aden, Samuel and Noah whom she adored.

Maria lived an extraordinary life filled with many adventures and blessings. She was a pioneer that led her whole family to Canada in the early 70’s looking for a better life. Her courage and strength is the reason that many people and generations to come are here today.

She was a leader, a singer, a dancer, an artist, a chef, a writer, a business woman, a very talented seamstress who created gorgeous outfits out of a simple piece of material. She was everything and more.

She always made people feel as though they were at home. Many referred to her as their second mother. She always gave and wanted to help others. She always put everyone else’s needs above her own. She was selfless and the world is a much darker place without her in it.

Above all, Maria was a devoted follower of Christ. She led an online prayer group with 2,000 followers. She took great pride in posting her daily prayers for those in need and leading people to Christ. She had an unwavering faith and made it her daily mission to spread the word of God to everyone who would listen.

She was the most interesting woman in the world! She had an infectious laugh and a pure soul.

Life will never be the same without her! We will miss her forever!

In lieu of flowers we ask that you please make a donation to your local food bank or help a family in need in her honour. Find a single mother/father or family that may be struggling and send them dinner or drop off a gift card. If you look around hard enough you will find many people in need right in your immediate circle. This is what my mother would have wanted.

Once the covid restrictions are lifted we will be hosting a formal church service followed by a meal in her honour and everyone is invited!
