In Celebration of

Maria Dos Anjos Galego

March 26, 1942 -  February 23, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Galego, a beloved mother, and friend. Maria passed away at the age of 80 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.

Maria was born on the beautiful island of São Miguel, in the Azores, and immigrated to Toronto with her family and husband Manuel Galego. She will always be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family and friends.

Maria is survived by her three children, who were the light of her life. She loved spending time with her children and sharing stories about her life in the Azores. Her passion for fashion was evident in her impeccable sense of style, and she loved nothing more than creating for her family and friends ever since her early days back in São Miguel.

Maria was predeceased by her husband Manuel Galego, who she loved dearly. They shared a lifetime of love and laughter, and their memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew them. Certainly. Maria Galego was a devout Catholic and her faith in God was a central part of her life. Her faith gave her strength and resilience throughout her life, especially during her battle with pancreatic cancer. She found solace in knowing that she would one day be reunited with her beloved husband Manuel in heaven. Maria's devotion to her faith was an inspiration to those around her, and her legacy of faith and love will live on.

Maria's legacy of love and kindness will never be forgotten. She touched the lives of everyone she met and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Rest in peace, Maria Galego. You will always be remembered with love and fondness.
