In Celebration of

Margarita Domingo Collett

September 11, 1927 -  January 15, 2021

She was everyone’s Nana and is deeply missed.

A loving wife of 60 years, mother and sister she is forever loved and not forgotten by husband Ronald, brother Ramon (Susan), children Tina (Elio), Elizabeth (Dan) and John (Nancy), grand children Adam (Sheila), Jennifer (Chris), Daniel (Fiona), Nicholas (Meagan), Brandon, Robbie, Leeanna and great grandchildren Ava, Tristan, Connor, Hannah and Leo.

From her beginnings in Tossa de Mar, Spain her beloved home town to London England and finally Canada settling in Toronto she lived a good life and fondly spoke of her time in each location and always had a story to share. Everywhere she went she quickly became everyone’s Nana with her warmth and kindness. She will always have a special place in our hearts and her famous tag line will live on forever.

"Momma Shmengy", what a very dear and loving lady! She had the biggest heart and was very, very special to our family. We would sit and talk forever about everything. Such a beautiful, giving and compassionate lady who's family was her whole life. We will miss you tremendously but will forever cherish you in our hearts! With all our love.

To Ron, Tina, Lizzy, John and all of your families. Please accept my sincere condolences in the passing of Mrs Collett ( Margarita ). She always made me feel so welcome whenever I came over when we all lived on Ormskirk. I will always remember her.

Dear Collett Family,

I am so sad to hear that dear Margarita has gone to be with the Lord. She was such a godsend to many of us at Ormskirk. For those who didn't know, she took in many of us at lunchtime and after school while our parents worked outside the home. She introduced many of us to Kraft Dinner and hot dogs (to a child of immigrants, it was such a treat to have a such a Canadian meal!). Johnny and I played together until my mom came to collect me (fun times). When I was old enough be left alone at home, we'd continue to talk in the hallways and she would update me on the wonderful achievements of all her family members. She was proud of each and every one of you!!! Sending love! Donna and Rose (Donna's mom)
