Margaret Elizabeth Houston

June 19, 1937 -  December 3, 2024

Peacefully, at the North York General Hospital, on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the age of 87. Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Margaret Houston. Loving sister of the late George and the late John. Margaret is survived by her sister in law Marlene, her nephew Greg (Cathy), and their children Devin and Connor. Margaret was a long time teacher in North York. She was also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves (Air Force) and was presented with the Order of Military Merit in 1990.

Private cremation arrangements have taken place.

Although I never knew Marg well, as we were in different branches of the air reserve, we would cross paths at squadron functions, mess dinners and the officer’s mess where I was always struck by her quiet and pleasant demeanor. So sorry to hear of her passing.

So sorry to hear about Margaret’s passing. My deepest condolences to family and friends.
Margaret was always great to be around, pleasant, funny and very efficient ..
Black Velvet parties were always fun with her around and she always she stole the show .. Margaret will be sadly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of having known her .
