It is with great sorrow that the family of Manuel C. Gomes announces his passing on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the age of 76. Born in Apariços, Leiria, Portugal, he was the son of the late Manuel Antonio and Maria Gomes (née da Conceição).
Manuel was a devoted husband to his wife Olinda, with whom he shared 55 happy years of marriage, a proud and loving father to Nancy, Jason (Claudia Vari), and Filipe (Marianne Krascic), and a beloved avô to his grandchildren Marco, Evan, and Sophia.
Manuel also leaves behind his sisters Quitéria Gomes (late Guilhermino) and Celeste Batista (Jaime) and brother Armindo Gomes (late Helena). He was preceded in death by his beloved parents as well as his brother Antonio Gomes (late Idalina). He will be sadly missed by many family, friends and neighbours in Canada, Portugal and France. May he rest in eternal peace.

The family would also like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff who supported Manuel during his illness as well as those who provided him wonderful end of life support.

A funeral mass will be held at Ss. Salvador do Mundo Catholic Church (a.k.a. Saviour of the World Catholic Parish), 1212 Melton Drive, Mississauga, on Saturday, January 4, at 10:30 am.
Interment Assumption Cemetery.
