It is with great sadness that the family of Luka Ćorić announce his peaceful passing on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the age of 77. Luka concluded his long and courageous battle with illness, surrounded by his adoring family.

Luka will be lovingly remembered by his wife Štefica, daughter, Diana, with her husband Michel and children Markus and Stefanie, and his younger daughter Kristina, with her husband Johnny and children Luka, Pero and Ivan. Along with all of his close relatives, cousins, and dear family friends, his memory will firmly endure time, in all of our hearts.

Luka was born in Mostarska Vrata, Hercegovina in 1948 to Ivan and Janja Ćorić. He was one of five children and hails from a humble village near Ljubuški and Međugorje. He embarked on his journey to Canada in 1969. He was schooled and trained in woodworking, and brought his artisan skills to Canada where he built a successful woodworking business in Mississauga.

Luka was a devoted husband and father. Best of all, Dida Luka was an adoring grandfather who was most joyful with his five grandchildren around him. He was a kind, soft hearted and compassionate man, who worked hard and was always there for his family. Forever and fondly in our hearts we will remember and honor our beloved tata/daddy, our Dida Luka.

"Be strong" was his motto in life. We will carry this most special memory of his strength - just as he found his peace with God in his devotion to the eight am morning mass and the evening prayers and rosary with his beloved wife.

Visitation will be held at the Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 4-8pm, prayers at 4:15pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Church of Croatian Martyrs on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 10am. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery. Karmine, Church of Croatian Martyrs.
