In loving memory of our father, Luigi Zangrilli, who on October 12, 2019, at the age of 86, peacefully passed away with loving family by his side. Devoted and beloved husband for 60 years, of Marzia Zangrilli (nee Vento). Loving father of Maria, Linda, Diana, Robert, Liana and Mark. Cherished father-in-law of Derek, Angela, Lori, Joseph, and Brad. Amazing grandfather of Ariana, Ryan, Mathew, Simone, Julia, Ava, Evan and Katelyn. Loving brother of Antonio, Anina, Regina, Giuseppe, and Vincenzo.

You often hear of people coming to this great country of ours with only dollars in their pockets but their hearts filled with big dreams. That was the story of our dad. Born and married in Spigno, Saturnia; he came from Italy with his wife, pregnant with their first of six children. Dad was a very determined and hardworking entrepreneur. He ran successful businesses, in which he involved his brother and brother-in-laws. He loved and cared for people easily. He lived simply, held onto his old-school Italian traditions and provided everything he possibly could for his children. After retiring, dad could be found either in his garden or at the cottage fishing. His greatest joy though, was sharing his life with his grandchildren, whether it be playing house or hockey. Dad had a long struggle with Parkinson’s, however he never allowed it to dictate his life.

Serenamente si addormentò nel Signore dopo una vita interamente dedicata alla famiglia e al lavoro. Marito e padre esemplare lascia ai figli una eredità di fede e di amore. Adesso, caro papà, riposa in pace nella braccia del Signore.
