Ludwika "Lucy" Koczmara
August 25, 1924 - March 16, 2013
A veteran of Polish Air Force, part of the R.A.F. during WWII and a member of the Polish - Canadian Air Force Association. On Saturday March 16, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Toronto, Lucy passed away at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Stanley for over 60 years. Loving mother to Christine and her husband Richard. Proud Babcia of Ryan, Matthew and Lauren. Predeceased by her 3 brothers (Wladek, Tadzio, Kazik) and 2 sisters (Mila, Zosia). Lucy will be lovingly remembered by her friends. She was an animal lover and devoted to her many pets over the years. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane subway, on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with Rosary Prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church, 156 Roncesvalles Ave., on Friday March 22, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga. If desired, donations may be made to Community Living Mississauga or to the Polish - Canadian Air Force, Warsaw Wing 430, 206 Beverley St, Toronto, ON M5T 1Z3.
