Lucas's smile was infectious, he was infectious. Everyone loved him. Everyone remembered him after the first glance. Everywhere we went he knew someone and was always greeted with hugs that meant something, and gave hugs back that would be imprinted on your body for awhile. He cared about people, deeply. He helped me through a major transition in my life, kept me smiling, always encouraged me to be my weirdo self. Lucas is a very special person, wise beyond his years. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Sending love, from my family to yours. xoBrooke Stubbings

Lucas, I didn't know you as well as I could. Now I never will know you as well as I has wished.

I will always remember you as brilliantly creative and fun, open to people and fiercely critical of unfairness. Your good nature and clearly infectious attitude will stay with me, despite me having known you from what feels like a barely surface level.

Rest well.

I am so sorry to hear this news. I taught Lucas in high school and he was such a vibrant and unique person. His inquisitive nature and quick sense of humour made working with him really wonderful. Passing on love to his family
