In Celebration of

Lubomir Tretina

June 7, 1924 -  April 12, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lubomir Trentina, an amazing man, husband, uncle and friend, on Monday April12, 2021 at his home with his wife Maria by his side.

Lubomir was born in Lanzhot, Czech Republic and immigrated to Canada with his wife Zora in the late 1960’s. He was very proud to be a professional engineer with Ontario Power Generation for many years.

Time at the cottage, classical music, his winter home in Florida and his beautiful garden were his greatest pleasures.

Lubomir was predeceased by his first wife, Zora, his brothers Mirek and Vladimir. He leaves behind his wife Maria, step-son Patryk (fiancé Nicole), His nephews Vladimir, Paul, Peter, Joseph and his niece Nadia and many close friends, extended family and wonderful neighbours.

Lubomir will be resting at Park Lawn Cemetery.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Veterans Associations or charity of your choice. A private ceremony will be held with plans for a Celebration of Life once the restrictions are lifted.

Lubomir was certainly one of the best men I have had the good fortune to have in my life over very many decades, a truly fine gentle man., humorous, kind and full of humility. He will be missed by all whose paths fortunately met up with him.

Lubek and myself worked together for a number of years in the same Design Section at 700 Hundred University Ave. Toronto.
Our section manager was Ken Guise. We spoke every day at work and share many jokes..
Hope that Lubek now has his well deserved place in heaven.
