In Celebration of

Lorraine Konvalinka

September 13, 1920 -  March 27, 2016

Lorraine left us peacefully on March 26, 2016 following a brief illness. She was predeceased in 2004 by her loving husband and best friend of 62 years, Charlie, twin sister Dorothy (1973), brothers Hugh (1994) and Doug (2003) and older sister Audrey (2010). Survived by her sister Pat, caring mom to sons David (Joanne) and Rick, daughter-in-law Reg (Norm) and wonderful grandma to Andrea (Paul) and Lisa (Serge), Steven (Jacqueline), Christine (Brent), great grandma to Jacob, Joshua, Nate and Siena. From her volunteer contributions to the Air Cadet League of Canada and Family Council work with the Castleview-Wychwood Long Term Care home, to her active sports life of golfing and bowling, Lorraine radiated an outgoing warmth to everyone she knew. During her years in retirement home care she was always keen to be involved with other residents in whatever activities were going on. She led a full, rich and happy life. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to all the staff at Cawthra Gardens LTC for their outstanding kindness, compassion and expertise throughout mom's years with them. They continually made her feel at home and part of their family, especially in her final days. Mom requested a quiet farewell so in keeping with her wishes, a private ceremony will be held at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street W. Toronto.
