In Celebration of

Loretta Augimeri

February 19, 1943 -  November 21, 2025

Loretta Wanda Augimeri was born on February 19, 1943 in Toronto, Ontario. She was the loving daughter of Polish immigrants John Focinski and Agnes Focinski (née Pilat), and the youngest sibling of Stanley Pilat and Jean York.

In the late 1950s she met her partner in life, Anthony Mario Augimeri. They were married on January 19, 1963 and shared a joyful and prosperous life together. She was an incredible caregiver throughout her life, and poured her soul into caring for her family, her many cherished pets, and her beloved garden. She will always be remembered as the life of every party. Her kindness and generosity of spirit will be her lasting legacy.

After a short illness, Loretta peacefully passed on November 21, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her children Denise Augimeri and Raymond Augimeri, her grandchildren Eric Vero (Rebecca MacAlpine), Christina Vero, and Sabrina Augimeri. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Loretta’s family thanks Bethell House Hospice in Inglewood for their loving care, expertise, and professionalism.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Ontario SPCA and Bethell Hospice.

I have such wonderful memories of Aunt Loretta growing up.🩷 I Had a lovely relationship with her in my adult life as well.🩷
Was so fortunate to spend time with her over the last few months sharing stories, pictures, laughter and memories.
Aunt Loretta was always so kind, welcoming and caring. She was a wonderful cook! . Her potato soup was delicious 🩷

I will never forget the first time I met Loretta. It was when she had opened her home to me and my family for a summer cottage trip. We were complete strangers and yet she greeted me at though we had known each other for years. Within a few hours we were laughing together like old friends. That was her warm way and generous spirit. I will forever be grateful to her for the countless precious memories I will forever hold dear to my heart that were made possible because of who she was. I feel blessed that our paths crossed on this journey of life. My family and I send our love and sympathies to her beautiful family as they navigate this difficult time.
