In Celebration of

Lola Gordon

January 3, 1940 -  January 3, 2022

Lola Maud Gordon (aka "Cutie"), 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on January 03, 2022, at Credit Valley Hospital. She was born on January 03, 1940, at Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica to Edward (Salesman) and Florance Watson. She migrated to Canada in 1970 to make a better life for the 6 children she had to leave behind, but ultimately sent for them to join her at a later time. She worked as a housekeeper for a short while, until she worked in the automotive industry until retirement at the age of 65.

Lola truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; family picnics, cooking specialty Jamaican dishes, and playing cards where she mastered the games of Solitaire and Poker. She often mentioned "who needs friends when you have your kids and family", and she never wanted for much. Lola was kind-hearted, witty, animated, smart, and always willing to lend a helping hand no matter who needed it.

Lola is survived by her sister Yvonne, her 6 children Angela, Donovan, Jennifer, Marjorie, Ceburt Jr, and Lavern, her 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grand, and her 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as the many other lives she has touched throughout the years. A private viewing will be held at Turner & Porter Funeral Home, followed by a private service at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church. Finally, she will be laid to rest at Beechwood Cemetary next to her late husband Aston Rupert Gordon.

There will never be another like Lola and she will be truly missed.
May God keep you safe in His Kingdom. We love you Cutie!

On January 3 at 6:46 am, my world ended. I lost my friend my confidante and most importantly my mom. She meant the world to me. There's no other like you mom. Now she will be my guardian angel. Rest in peace my beautiful mother, until we meet again. Your loving daughter, Angela. 💔
