Lira Felly-Hope Mascarenhas

December 9, 1946 - September 27, 2023

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lira Felly Hope Mascarenhas, our loving and devoted Nana, Mother and Wife on, Sept 27th 2023. Lira left us at the young age of 76 after her battle with PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy), while sleeping peacefully at her home alongside her husband. Lira is survived and will be missed by her loving Husband of 54 years Alban; and her children and extended family, Atalie/Kevin Fernandes, Lucrecia/Shaun Hainey, Gavin/Victoria Mascarenhas & Warren/Alexandra Mascarenhas. Forever cherished and remembered by her nine grandchildren, Amelia, Candice, Adrianna, Noah, Cameron, Joshua, Dylan, Chase & Tessa. Siblings and their families; Lumina/ Nelson, Lolita/the late Pio Gomes, Loysi/Juanitha, Lambert/Agnella.

Lira was most happy travelling with her beloved husband & spending time with her children & grandchildren, who viewed her as a women of faith and a source of happiness. She will be missed and cherished forever!

We are so sorry for the loss of your lovely wife, Lira. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and sister Lumina.
Lira's parents were good friends of Vitor family and the girls often stayed with us when they visited Nairobi in their adolescent years . Many memories of those days.

May her soul rest in peace and perpetual light shine upon her.

What an incredible lady. I will never forget the advice she once gave me many years ago. She was so proud of all her children all successful in their own lives. The life of the party with her partner in crime. She was loved and admired by many.
