In Celebration of

Linda Vera Romano (nee Grieco)

August 13, 1951 -  February 13, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce that Linda Vera Romano, 74, passed away peacefully with her husband, John, by her side on February 13, 2026.

Born on August 13, 1951, to Augustine and Theresa Grieco, Linda lived a life defined by her incredible heart and her unwavering commitment to those she loved. She spent her professional years as a dedicated employee at the WSIB, where her hard work was matched only by the cherished friendships she built with her colleagues—bonds that spanned over 50 years and became a central part of her life. She was a woman of many passions, from her love of cooking and shopping to the many travels she shared with those closest to her.

Linda’s greatest legacy is the vast circle of friends she gathered throughout her life and the family who meant everything to her. She was the beloved wife of John Romano, a devoted mother to Laura Theresa and her husband, Alex, and the cherished grandmother of Georgia Linda and Lydia Vera.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation at Turner & Porter "Peel Chapel", 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, on Thursday, February 19, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Sts. Martha and Mary Parish, 1870 Burnhamthorpe Road East, Mississauga, on Friday, February 20, at 10:30 a.m.

Following the service, the family will depart for a private burial. All other guests are invited to proceed directly to a luncheon to honour Linda’s memory; location details will be provided at the service.

While Linda will be missed beyond words, her warmth and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her granddaughters will forever carry her name.
Flowers are welcome and appreciated by the family.

Linda's warm smile and engaging laugh were priceless. She was my mentor when I joined training as a trainer. Linda's encouragement and positivity were so welcoming.
Linda's family were number one in her heart...her face lit up when she spoke of them. May your many loving memories made with her be a blessing in the months to come. May she rest in a well deserved peace.
