In Celebration of

Linda Dorothy Williams

August 17, 1942 -  February 21, 2026

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of our beloved Linda “Lin” Dorothy Williams, who left this world surrounded by her loving family.

She will be deeply missed by her husband of 62 years, Ian Edwin Williams, her daughters, Jennifer Williams (Ferdinand Mels) and Christine (Paul) LeGendre, and her grandchildren, Sophie, Emma and Alexander LeGendre, and Kira and Kyland Mels-Williams.

Lin was truly a force of nature—a fierce matriarch with strong faith, serving as the steady heartbeat of our family. She was as quick with a winning card hand as she was with a sharp remark, and she flourished in every social circle she touched. Known for her impeccable style and her legendary shopping trips, she brought elegance and flair to every occasion. She found peace in quiet moments and enjoyment through travel and art. Lin leaves behind a legacy as colorful and enduring as her spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

She is predeceased by her parents, Myrtle and Edward Charters, her sister, Sandra (John) Coombes and lovingly survived by Ed (Marissa) Charters, Richard (late Lois) Charters and Donna (Rob) Sawden.

The picture perfectly captures how I remember Aunt Linda. Her effortless style, always ready for a juicy chat, and looking perfectly at ease wherever she happened to be. I hope she's having a blast catching up with those who have gone before. Sending love from Halifax- Jodie, Allan, Findlay and Spencer
