Linda was a lifelong family friend. She and John travelled with my parents in her younger days and played mahjong every weekend with my Mom until just a few years ago. When my kids were young she would always bring them tic tac. My kids fondly refer to her as Tic Tac Moo Moo. We loved hearing her stories of all her travels and were always interested in her next adventure.
She was a wonderful companion to my Mom as she got older. She often took her for her doctors’ appointments and always had time for my Mom. More recently my Mom preferred to stay at home and not leave the house but Linda would encourage her to go out for lunch every few weeks just so that she can have an outing. Linda visited often and would always give words of encouragement when my Mom was not feeling well. If she could not visit she would always call. She spoke to my Mom the weekend before she passed.
Linda lived life to the fullest and always had a positive outlook on life. Nothing was ever too difficult or overwhelming because of her deep faith in God.
I want to thank Linda for everything she has done for my Mom and my family. Hopefully she can hear our message of gratitude. May God bless her and may His light shine upon her and may she rest in peace. We are deeply saddened by her passing.
Our sincere condolences to Edwin and his family and to David, Diana, Rosy, Kenneth and their families. We will cherish our memories of Linda, such a kind, generous and caring person.
With loving memories. May she rest in peace.

Mrs. Allum was like a second mother to me, and I think all of Edwin's friends will feel the same with them too. We spent more time at her house than at our own while growing up as teenagers in high school and right through our days in different universities.

We had many lunches and dinners, and sleep-overs, there and every time Mrs. Allum, and Mr. Allum when he was still with us, welcomed us as though we were part of their family, and I felt it. My own parents never worried about where I was on weekends because they knew where I was; at Edwin's house, doing what teenagers do, including washing my car many times there, and that I would be well looked after, and I was.

Whenever I was there and whatever we were doing, I was always welcomed and made to feel at home. Mrs. Allum always went out of her way to make sure of that. I am very saddened at her sudden passing and my condolences to my friend Edwin, his family, and to all his relatives. The many good memories of her and her kindness will be with me forever.
