In Celebration of

Linda A. Young (nee MacDonald)

May 28, 1941 -  September 10, 2021

Our dear and beautiful Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 10, 2021, at the age of 80.

Linda was born on May 28, 1941 in Singhampton, Ontario, daughter of the late Malcolm and Grace MacDonald. Loving mother of Mark (Denise), Kathy, and Scott (Andrea). Cherished grandmother of Aaron (Terry), Kezia, John (Kate), Cody and Levi, and great-grandmother to Chloe, Christian, Leland, and Adelaide. Linda was predeceased by her sister Jeanette Hockley, and brothers Neil and Wilson MacDonald. She will be remembered fondly by her sisters, Kay McKean (Donald) and Margaret McIntyre, and younger brother, Paul MacDonald, together with many nieces and nephews. Linda was kind, generous, and had a great sense of humour. We will deeply miss her beautiful smile, the twinkle in her eye, along with her delicious apple pies.

Private family cremation arrangements entrusted to Turner & Porter (Yorke Chapel) with interment at McIntyre Pioneer Cemetery at a later date.

Online condolences may be left for the family at www.turnerporter.ca.

If desired, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, Grace Presbyterian Church, McIntyre Pioneer Cemetery, or a charity of your choice would be deeply appreciated by the family.

To Aunt Linda’s family, we are so very sorry to hear the sad news. Losing your Mom leaves a deep hole in your heart that never heals. Time and memories ease the pain ,sadness ,and loneliness but not hearing her voice or seeing her smile is so unfair. Our deepest sympathies. Love to you all
