Lily passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, May 1st, 2017 at 92 years of age. She was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas Cascone, and second husband, John Sapiano. Lily is the cherished mother of Domenic Cascone (Sue-Ellen). She was the proud grandmother of Vanessa Downes (Matthew), and Thomas Cascone, and the caring great-grandmother of Jacob and Abbey Downes. She was a caring mother-in-law to Claire (nee Cericola), and loving sister to Anita DiMacio, and the late Maurice (Rose) and Guido Astolfo. Lily had a wonderfully strong spirit, boundless energy, and a sincere love for animals, music and dancing, that she shared with those around her.

Lily will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends. We would like to sincerely thank the wonderful staff and volunteers at Trillium Hospital for the compassionate service and kindness they provided for Lily. A heartfelt appreciation is extended to the many friends she made at the Clarkson Community Centre, with whom she shared her joy of line dancing, singing, and music with for over 20 years.
