Lesia Yarish née Lotozky, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Lesia was born in Nyznia Lypytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine and journeyed to Canada after World War II with her parents Myhaylo and Maria, brothers Wasyl and Ivan, leaving her brother Mykola in Ukraine. Lesia devoted her life to her husband of 65 years and her family, creating a home full of warmth, love, laughter and Ukrainian traditions. Her legacy is carried on in the values she instilled in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Lesia is survived by her loving husband, Orest; her children, Caroline (Roman), Christine, Michael (Melinda); her grandchildren, Christine (Ryan), Stephanie (Kamil), Marika (Lloyd), Kathleen (Justin), Nicholas (Holly), Alexandra, Kristian; and her great-granddaughter, Amelia.
She will be dearly missed by her extended family and friends, whose lives she touched with her caring heart.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke from 6:00 p.m.to 8:30 p.m. with Panakhyda at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke.
