<div itemprop="description">Suddenly on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, Leokadia Albertowicz at the age of 90, passed away peacefully, leaving behind her son, Andrew and daughter- in- law, Marilyn. Her husband, Edward, pre-deceased her in 2003.&nbsp; Lola endured the hardships of war when at the age of 18 she and her sister were transported from their home in Poland to work in a German factory. She remained in Germany until after the war where she met and married her husband. In 1954, she immigrated to Canada via Belgium with her husband and son. &nbsp;She was a hardworking and dedicated employee at Sterling Upholstery for many years. She devoted her life to her family as a mother and wife providing unconditional love and support. Friends may call at the Turner &amp; Porter &quot;Neweduk-Erin Mills&quot; Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., (1 block east of Erin Mills Pkwy), Mississauga, on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.&nbsp; Funeral Mass will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 4260 Cawthra Rd., Mississauga, on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 10 a.m.&nbsp; &nbsp;Interment to follow at St. John&rsquo;s Dixie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.&nbsp;</div>
