Sincere condolences to all the Cahill family from me, husband Rob and my children. I will always remember your dad as a gentle, loving, funny man. When visiting him since aunt Ruth died, it was obvious he missed her terribly. He’s definitely in a better place now. God bless all of you and may Leo Rest In Peace.

Raised in Saskatoon, the Paris of the prairies. Here is a very young and lean Leo with his Father Hector and brother Elwyn

Leo would love to talk about his time at Lake Louise. A summer job he was very fortunate to get. One of my favorite stories was of him selling beer from the hotel to guests or cowboys as he called them.

Life as a bachelor for Leo changed with a chance encounter in 1951 when mutual friends arranged a ride from Chatham to Toronto resulted in Leo meeting and being captivated by Ruth Anne Moore. The encounter began an adventure that lasted for 3 years of courtship and almost 65 years of marriage.

As cheesy as this looks, I recall it as a present from the kids to Leo and Ruth.
