In Celebration of

Laura Krajewski

May 8, 1994 -  March 2, 2019

Laura Janine Krajewski tragically passed away while hiking on a naturalized trail in Etobicoke Creek.

She was partaking in one of her greatest joys in life and left this world smiling and reveling in the beauty of nature. Laura was one of the most empathetic and caring individuals to have graced this world. She dedicated her life to helping others. In her Parish Community, she was an active volunteer and member of St. Dominic Church. Laura worked at the University of Toronto Mississauga where she was the Front Office and Communications Assistant at the Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Center. She brought her beautiful smile to everyone who visited. Prior to this, she was a member of the Center for Student Engagement and Health and Counselling Center. Laura was preparing for her Graduate Studies to begin this Fall. Laura's favourite hobbies included; hiking, bird watching, singing/playing guitar, Celtic music, reading quotes, self betterment and most importantly spending time with her family and friends.

Laura was a shining star with a warm and generous heart. She brought hope and light to those who needed it most, no matter the sacrifice to her own well being. It is for this reason that she will be missed by all, especially by her parents Stan and Connie, sister Diane, boyfriend Alex, her aunt and uncle Mary and Petar Simatovic, cousins Mark, Karen and David Simatovic; Cousins Kathy and Pete Lees and their son Justin; her great aunt Mary Lachowicz and cousins Krys and John; as well as her grandmother Janina and rest of the family in Poland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Riverwood Conservancy. A memorial gift may be made on the following link:

or to St. Dominic's Catholic Church. Cheques payable to "St. Dominic's Church Maintenance Fund" and sent directly to Parish Office. The address is 625 Atwater Avenue, Mississauga ON L5G 2A8

Laura was a bright and loving person who was filled with joy and happiness at every moment. She always took the time to listen, even when I'm sure she had a million things going on. We had some great conversations, about how excited she was for graduate school, about her upcoming trips that she had planned, and about how nice it was that her mom still bought her an advent calendar every year even though she was 'grown'. I'll miss her smile, her ability to organize just about everything, and our daily conversations. Rest in Peace Laura. You didn't get long enough on this earth.

Laura was an intern with The Riverwood Conservancy about 4 years ago. Her bright smile, lovely sense of humour and concern for all things animal and plant made her a popular person on the days she was here. She contributed so much to our work and we are devastated that she is gone. There truly are no words. Please know that all Riverwood Conservancy staff are thinking of you.

Some of my fondest memories from participating in the Youth Group at St. Dominic's church included Laura as a bright center to everyone's lives. She was a constant source of positive energy and compassion to all around her. She will be very dearly missed and I know that the blessings she gave unto others will be returned tenfold to her in heaven.

Laura, you were my angel here on earth and now my angel in heaven. Of all people, so pure of heart, you got to meet Jesus first. To be embraced by Mother Mary, whom you so emulated here in the physical world, is the greatest solace. We love you and will miss you and know without a doubt that we will meet again and rejoice together. Xoxoxo
