Larysa Proc-Gavalcik

July 3, 1973 -  June 20, 2017

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Larysa passed away on June 20th, 2017 at home, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on July 3, 1973, Larysa leaves behind her loving husband, Tom Gavalcik, cherished daughter Natalia, step-daughter Julia, step-son Matthew and her devoted parents, Bozenna and George Proc, sister-in-law Hana and brother-in-law Derek Franklin. Loved dearly by her family and friends, Larysa walked through life with a most generous spirit, incredible sense of humour, and a fierce love of family. Truly one of a kind, Larysa will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane subway Visitation on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Panachyda 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Prospect Cemetery. If desired, remembrances may be made to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada (bcsc.ca).

Larysa and I first worked together back at Genesys, and then at InterCall/West. Although I rarely got to see her in person, whenever we spoke on the phone you could just hear the smile in her voice. She will be missed, and I'm so sorry for your loss. Your entire family has my deepest sympathy.
