In Celebration of

Kieran Gallagher

June 17, 1967 -  January 11, 2017

Gallagher, Kieran John (K.J), 49, of Toronto passed away on January 11, 2017 surrounded by family and friends, at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto.
Kieran was born in Toronto on June 17, 1967. He attained his Plumber’s license at George Brown College and was self-employed for his entire life. He was married to Tara Coe from 1992-2000 and together they had three children, Micky, Ruby and Jackson (stillborn, 1995). Kieran was a lover of fishing, and was an avid barbecue enthusiast. Kieran was both an introvert and an extrovert. An avid reader and lover of literature, poetry, and music (especially blues), he was also highly social and a lively conversationalist on a wide range of subjects, from spirituality to science to politics to art. He had a very kind and gentle heart, and rarely passed judgment on others. His infectious laughter and sense of humor livened up any gathering. For these and many other qualities he will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.
Kieran is survived by his two children, Micky and Ruby; the mother of his children Tara Coe; his father, John Gallagher; his five siblings, Shawn (Ronald) Gallagher, Elle (Alfred) Gallagher, Brian Gallagher, Clare Gallagher and Christine Gallagher; as well as many loving nieces and nephews and other relatives. Kieran is predeceased by his mother Lilian Gallagher and his son Jackson Gallagher.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation and service in honor of Kieran’s life at Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, Toronto on Saturday January 14, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. An interment of his ashes will be planned for later this spring. Memoriam donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

I never met you even though we are family. I wish that I had and times like this proves that we need to keep in touch with people we are close to. I now know a little about your life but I'm sure there is much more. I send my love to your children and the rest of my Canadian family at this sad time. You are at peace now Kieron and I know you will always look out for your family. With love from the UK. XX

Kieran, I will miss your love of life and family. You were such a great listener and you helped me through so many times of change. You are an inspiration to me and I will always remember your kindness and laughter. Your cheeky humour, kind compassion and gentle support were there everyday I knew you. As my baby brother, I loved you. Thank you for everything you did for me and everyone who knew you. God speed and say hi to mum for me please. I will not mourne your death but will celebrate your life. xo
