In Celebration of

Kevin Wallis Sherwin

November 4, 1962 -  August 30, 2021

With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Kevin Sherwin at the age of 58. Loving and devoted son to his mother, Carol, his brother Darryl (Glenn Stalker), and aunt’s Anita McDonald (Clinton), Winnifred McQueeny (John), Wendy Seta (Louie), uncle Bill Marshall (Heather) and cousins. Predeceased by his father, Wallis Sherwin (2019).

Kevin was born in Edmonton, Alberta. He had a thirst for life and deep faith in God, a passion for music, travel, nature and the outdoors. He was a dedicated individual and invested his time and energy towards family, friends and colleagues. The past 11 years saw this same dedication and attitude in his commitment to the Riverwood Conservancy, wanting it to continue to flourish as a vital organization to preserve the environment and all that it can offer to the community; a peaceful oasis.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a private celebration of Kevin’s life at Riverwood in the future. We respectfully ask that you consider a donation to Riverwood Conservancy in Kevin’s honour at www.theriverwoodconservancy.org.

My deepest condolences to Carol and the family. I am so very saddened by this terrible news. Kevin and I enjoyed many years as working colleagues at Riverwood and as a result became great friends. We worked closely on fundraising efforts and attended may events together. Dogfest, Riverwood Soirée, Zoomer radio, Culture@Riverwood, Patrons of Riverwood, Knowledge Cafe and many more. I am missing your generous and kind nature, your expert marketing and networking skills and breakfasts at the Orchard. A devoted son and brother, lover of dogs and charitable work to benefit Mississauga and beyond. There is no one like you and all of us that had the pleasure of knowing you have a very sad heart today. Rest In Peace Kevin you will always be remembered fondly.

Kevin was really the reason I wanted to be a part of Riverwood Conservancy. He was kind, sweet and sincere. It will be hard to go back to Riverwood and not see his smiling face. My condolences goes to his family.

My son, Conor was also very fond of him as well. He was saddened by the news.

Kevin, you were a beyond a wonderful son and caregiver to your Mum and Dad. It is with a sad heart we say good-bye but with many great memories we have of you through the many years we have known and admired your quiet heart and care for others. A few years ago when I stayed with you and your Mum, you made sure I had all details I needed to attend my meeting in downtown Toronto in the midst of torn up streets and parking issues. While I drove to that meeting in the midst of the construction, I smiled because you had it all mapped out for me. It was just a reminder in a small but important way of your caring way. Thank you! We miss you and look forward to seeing you in the "tweak of eye" when it is our turn to join you and your Dad and others in our eternal home in heaven.
Carol, our prayers and love are there for you. May our Father comfort and protect you through these very difficult days. Hold the many beautiful memories close to your heart and know Kevin is up there cheering for you as always along with Wally.
Love
Bill and Susan
