In Celebration of

Kathleen Longo

December 31, 1928 -  May 21, 2018

Lovingly referred to as Gramma Kay, peacefully passed away with her children by her side on Monday, May 21, 2018. Kay, a beautiful, elegant and independent woman built a life full of love and laughter with her late husband Lawrence Longo. She was an honorary Michelin star cook, accomplished artist and an inspiration to her children: Rene and Rocky Pantalone, Frank and Joyce Longo, Larry and Rita Longo and Dino Longo, along with Rosemarie Longo and Thomas Heilborn. Her cookie jar was always full and her arms were always open for her grandchildren: Deena, Jason and Julia, Mathew and Julia, Lawrence and Astrid, Alana and Nicolas, Lia and Dave, Natalie, Jordana, Daniel, Zachary, Michael and Alex. She was blessed with the good fortune to enjoy 10 great-grandchildren: Ava, Sabrina, Charlie, Ella, James, Briana, Alessia, Lawrence, Simona and Florence. Kay said good-bye with dignity, humour and all her sensibilities. She asked that her family "take care of each other." Her children are an extension of her grace and generosity and they will forever hold her in their hearts as a guiding matriarch while fulfilling her final wish. Funeral arrangements will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. West, Toronto, ON, from 2- 4 p.m. and 6- 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday May 24, 2018 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3055 Bloor St. West, Etobicoke, 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Humber River Hospital Foundation - Respiratory Unit.

Aunt Kay we loved you dearly. In my heart you and Uncle Larry were always my real life "Romeo & Juliet"! You were a lady encapsulating the true meaning of grace and elegance and always so ready with the warmest smile! I fondly remember swimming at the house as children, and how you were always so kind and generous to us! Other great memory of times in Florida with mom & dad. You raised a truly amazing family of whom I'm sure you were extremely proud! I hope you and Uncle Larry are having a wonderful re-union! May you both rest in eternal peace!
