In Celebration of

Kathleen "Anne" Janzen

January 18, 1957 -  August 30, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen “Anne” Janzen (Hughes) on August 30, 2025.

She was the beloved wife of Mark Janzen for over 46 years and mother to Margaret (Jeff) Greenfield, Peter (Meghann Knight) Janzen, Hilary (Alex Baker) Janzen and cherished Granny to Christopher, Katherine, Cole, and Wesley. She was the dear sister to Margaret (Brian) Eves and sister-in-law to Sigrid (Raymond) LaForest and Doreen (Rolf-deceased) Janzen.

Anne was born January 18th, 1957 in Brantford, Ontario to Jean and Arthur Hughes. Together Mark and Anne raised their family in Etobicoke, and worked together for many years in Mark’s real estate business. A true lover of literature and a gifted baker, Anne was always ready with a book recommendation or a slice of her famous pie. She had a special way of making holidays magical for the whole family, filling them with warmth and thoughtful touches that will be remembered for years to come.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of Anne’s doctors and nurses in the Trillium Health Network for their exceptional care and support of Anne over the years, in particular Dr. Cindy Quinton and Dale Nichols.

A visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor St W, Etobicoke). The celebration of life will be held at Markland Wood Golf Club from 2-4:30pm on Friday, September 5th, 2025. Memorials or donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Trillium Health Partners (trilliumgiving.ca) or the Dorothy Ley Hospice.

I will always remember Anne with a smile on her face. Even when she was telling me something that didn't turn out well, she still had a soft smile and a calm voice.

I will remember our coffees and trying to play golf at Centennial.

Our condolences to Mark, Margaret, Peter Hilary and all Anne's family.
