In Celebration of

Katherine Jane Lukas

October 24, 1966 - March 28, 2026

Katherine Jane Lukas, of Mississauga, Ontario, passed away at the age of 59, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, curiosity, and quiet joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Katherine built a meaningful career in market research, where her insight, thoughtfulness, and keen understanding of people earned her the respect of colleagues and peers alike. She approached her work with both professionalism and genuine interest, always striving to better understand the world around her.

Outside of her career, Katherine found happiness in the pages of a good book and in the tranquility of her garden. An avid reader, she was rarely without a novel nearby, and she delighted in stories that sparked her imagination. In her garden, she spent countless hours tending to her flowers, finding peace and fulfillment in nurturing their growth and beauty.

Katherine was predeceased by her beloved parents, Peter and Josephine; her brother, Richard (Debbie); and her father-in-law, Lachlan Muir (Mary-Jean). She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 26 years, Andrew Muir; her sisters, Donna and Alexandra; her mother-in-law, Margaret; her sister-in-law, Jane; her brother-in-law, Ian; and her cherished nieces and nephews: Rob, Jaclynn, Ashleigh, Madison, Sam, Adam, Alex, Kevin and Taylor. Her presence in their lives was a steady source of kindness, wisdom, and quiet encouragement.

Katherine will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her thoughtful nature, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. Her life was one of simple joys, deep care, and lasting connections—a life that will continue to be celebrated and remembered by all who knew her.
