My sincere condolences to the Esch family.
Karl was a great person and persevered through his challenges with passion. Karl always showed unwavering support for his beloved Leafs team. Even though the past few years had been difficult, his eyes would always light up at the mere mention of the Maple Leafs. On game day he would predict the final score, with the Leafs winning (of course).

He was a wonderful mentor, advisor, co-worker, but above all, a cherished friend.

I hold fond memories of working together for over 20 years and also attending numerous Leaf and Blue Jays games with Karl. His encouragement throughout the years has always meant a lot to me and I will miss him dearly.

Go Leafs Go!

RIP my dear friend.

As a co-worker with Karl for over 36 years I had great respect for his business skills. As friends, Gerry and I shared his love of the Leafs. His sports passions also included the Green Bay Packers (especially Brett Farve) and all German national teams. Karl always loved to see Gerry walk into his room at the residence. She would give him a hug and proceed to water his plants. He always wanted to hear any news of the Chrysler PDC.
Karl was a politically Conservative ( small c and big C ) person that also had a strong social conscience. His challenges in life shaped this character.
Gerry and I offer our condolences to his family. RIP Karl. Bruce and Gerry.
