In Celebration of

Karey Stanley

December 4, 1959 -  November 26, 2025

It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we share the passing of our beloved Karey Ellen Stanley-Boyd, who left us just days shy of her 66th birthday surrounded by family in the comforts of her home. Karey was truly larger than life, her presence filled every room, every conversation and every moment with energy, humour and warmth.

Karey is survived and will be dearly missed by the love of her life, her husband Sydney Armstrong Boyd and her forever cherished adored daughter, Hayley Michelle Stanley Bergen ("Poppy"). They were Karey's unwavering strength during her brief illness. Their compassion, tenderness and constant presence provided Karey with dignity, comfort and deep love throughout these past months. In addition, Karey was loved and will be missed by her sister, Steph Pike. Her husband, Rick Pike and aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins, all of whom loved her dearly.

Known as the life of the party, Karey had a gift for drawing people in. Her quick wit and love of practical jokes kept everyone laughing and her commanding presence made her impossible to overlook. Yet beneath that bold, vibrant exterior was a heart of extraordinary generosity. Karey made every person she encountered feel special, whether she had known them for years or for minutes. Her love for people and her passion for fun made her adored by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Karey also enjoyed a very remarkable and extremely rewarding 48 year career at TD Bank where her immense dedication, talent and unmistakable personality left a lasting impact on colleagues and friends alike. She took immense pride in her work and ensuring that everyone on her team shared in the success.

Karey's absence leaves an ache in the hearts of many, but her legacy of laughter, kindness and unforgettable moments will live on in all of us who were fortunate enough to call her a friend. She was one of a kind and she will be deeply and dearly missed.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Zinman and his compassionate staff at Sunnybrook's ALS Clinic.

In lieu of flowers, any donations on Karey's behalf to “Kids Help Phone” would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will take place on Saturday November 29, 2025 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm at Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street Mississauga, ON. Karey's funeral service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 1pm at Turner & Porter Peel Chapel with a Celebration of Life from 2-6pm at Markland Wood Golf Club, 245 Markland Drive, Etobicoke, ON.

I only knew Karey for a short time, but that was enough to know she was a very loving person and full of fun and laughter. My lasting memory of her will be at Sarah and Daniel's wedding where she used her cane so everyone could do the limbo dance under it. It was an honour to have known her.
