My warmest sympathies to Karen and Gordon's family for their terrible loss. I played tennis for some years in Karen's group and since have enjoyed lunch dates with Karen. She was a fun person and I felt privileged to have been considered a friend by her.
I remember well the day we met Karen. They had just disembarked from the Queen Elizabeth and my brother Gordon called to say he would like us to meet a good friend. Karen was young, elegant and friendly and we loved her from the start. After their marriage, they lived in the London area as we did and when they joined us in Ontario, we were happy to have family near. Karen was a wonderful home maker, great mother, a devoted wife and a very good tennis player. I will miss her so much.
Rest in peace or dear friend Karen

As an aunt, Karen was always interested, welcoming and warm. I remember her laugh - which was frequent and kind - and the visits we shared both in Mississauga and Kingston. A wonderful lady, definitely gone too soon.
