In loving memory of our father and head of our family, Kanaan Badawy Shaath, who passed away on Monday, September the 25th 2023. He was the devoted husband of Inaya and loving father of Badawy, Omar, Sabah and Saeed as well as thirteen grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
One of the kindest souls on this planet, our father was a gentle, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. He changed hundreds of lives without ever asking for a favour in return.
Early in life, our father learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic in us. He was always there for us as well as his six sisters and parents back home in Gaza. He was a man of strong faith who taught us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. From leaving Gaza in Palestine, to studying in Egypt, then raising his family in Kuwait all while finishing his university education in Lebanon followed by graduate studies in England and finally giving everyone a better life in Canada, he has lived a full life. Our father was a true role model who we will always look up to.
A reception in his memory will be held at Turner & Porter Funeral Home "Peel Chapel", 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, (one block N. of QEW) on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday October 2, 3 and 4th from 6pm to 8pm.
Father, you are now at peace and will live on forever in our hearts and prayers. We love you so much.
