Kamila was born on June 16, 1931 in Torun, the beautiful Polish town that smells of gingerbread and spells the magic of Copernicus science. She was an only child, a bit spoiled by her Dad, Jan Broda, and her Mom, Aniela. They kept her safe during the difficult times of her childhood and her teen age, in a Poland devastated by the horrors of the war. She studied, worked and fell in love with Wojciech Seider in Wloclawek. Together they moved and built their family in Bytrzyca Klodzka, where their children Andrzej and Wojtek were born. Kamila survived her husband and emigrated to Canada, where she met Oskar Janz. When Oskar departed, Kamila stayed in Canada. In her new home-country, she embraced the Polish-Canadian traditions. Kamila attended St. Casimir’s church and shared the loving community of Copernicus Lodge. When health permitted, she was seen always smiling to everybody along Roncesvalles Avenue. More than anything else, Kamila treasured her family and friends. She was a Kochana Mama to Andy and Wojtuś, and a Kochana Babcia to Pawel, Agnieszka, Edyta, Iwonka and Magdusia, a dear mother-in-law to her synowe Bozena, Ela and Carina.

Burial at Park Lawn Cemetery, 2845 Bloor Street West, Toronto.
