In Celebration of

Julie Bogacz

February 11, 1932 -  December 5, 2020

It is with heavy hearts we wish to announce the passing of Julia Bogacz (nee Dolban), during the early morning hours on Saturday, December 5, 2020.

September 2000, Julia was predeceased by her husband William.
Julia and her husband came to Canada in 1963, along with 2 children, Anna Martyniw (Walter) and Andre Bogacz (Karin). A few years later, a daughter was born, Mary Hlywa (George). Julia was the very proud grandmother of Alexandra, William, Max and Sophia, and great grandmother of Avery. Julia also leaves behind 2 sisters; Kateryna Jurcan, Genia Pezuk and a brother; Elia Dolban with their families.

During her life Julia worked as a housekeeper and then later as a short order cook at the Hudson Bay cafeteria.

Julia’s hobby was her vegetable garden, where she planted over a hundred tomato plants, which all the neighbours enjoyed.

In her final years, as her health declined, her home became the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre. We will be eternally grateful to the administration and nursing staff of this wonderful Home for the compassionate care shown to our Mother.

Our Mother – Julia, will always be remembered as the nice lady waiting for the bus, carrying a large purse filled with goodies. We will forever remember and keep in our hearts; our dear Mother's indigo blue eyes, her soft voice and kindness

Due to recent pandemic restrictions, the funeral will be private, and will live stream on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
