Julian passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, at the age of 102.
He was born on March 1, 1923, in Pavlivka, Ukraine, where he spent his childhood. At the age of 19, Julian was displaced by the war and lived in a camp in Germany. In 1949, after the war ended, he immigrated to Canada, making it his new home. He first settled in Noranda, Quebec, where he worked in the mines, before moving to Toronto. There, he continued his career with Bombardier and later with General Electric.
Julian will be remembered not only for his remarkable longevity and resilience, but also for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering willingness to help others. He touched many lives with his warmth and gentle spirit.
Julian is survived by his beloved wife, Stefania.

Funeral Rite at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 135 LaRose Ave., Toronto, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 12 p.m.
Burial at Park Lawn Cemetery, 2845 Bloor Street West, Toronto.
