In Celebration of

Julia Marie Petrasek

April 13, 2005 -  October 2, 2024

Our dear sweet Julia passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on October 2, 2024 at the age of 19. She leaves behind her parents John and Joanne, brother Joseph and her beloved dog Jinger. She also leaves behind her grandmother Grace, her nonno Giuseppe, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by her grandfather Anthony and her nonna Crescenza.

Julia will be fondly remembered as a self-taught master of arts, crafts, and baking. She loved to sew and crochet and made scarves as Christmas presents. She was a gifted baker, and her family and friends enjoyed the delicious macaroons, cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies she made.

She loved animals and was particularly fond of dogs. She trained her dog Jinger to do an iconic array of tricks that brought laughter to everyone. She enjoyed wintertime and loved to ski, build snow forts in the backyard, and chase Jinger in the snow. She also enjoyed swimming and had a beautiful breaststroke.

Julia always put her best foot forward in everything she did. She was full of quick and witty comments, and always got the last word in. She knew exactly how to elicit a laugh from anyone.

Our angel was taken away from us much too soon and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Please consider making a donation in her memory to CAMH or the Toronto Humane Society.

Our Heavenly Father knows that it's too soon to bring Julia home to rest. Yet, HE knows also that her spirit, her wisdom and wit, and her charm will live on in all of us.

Rest in Peace Julia.
