In Celebration of

Judy D'Alessio

August 25, 1956 -  September 1, 2022

The family is saddened to announce the sudden passing of Judy Wendy D’Alessio, at Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital on Thursday, September 1st, 2022, at the age of 66. Beloved wife of John for 41 years. Cherished daughter of Wallace Prymak and the late Joan Corriveau. Loving mother of John, Natalie (C.J.), Andrew (Allison), Gabriel, and cherished stepmother of Corrina. She adored her grandchildren, Ava and Alexander. She will be dearly missed by her sisters Jennifer, Jane (Jerry), and Janice (James), and her nephews Jake and Zach.

Judy embodied a spirit of generosity that guided every aspect of her life. She had recently received an award from the City of Mississauga recognizing her 10 years of service as a crossing guard. She was fiercely proud of her work, and the children she helped each and every day. She was an instructor in the Roots of Empathy program in public schools, and through her teaching, shaped many young lives. A self-professed bookworm, she loved to read and never stopped learning. This passion for knowledge fed her return to school, and her family celebrated her graduation from Trios College in 2009. Judy continued her passion for helping others through her volunteer work at a homeless shelter, but has always said her greatest accomplishment in life was having her children. She was a beautiful person with a warm heart and an infectious laugh. She will be dearly missed.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. For those who wish, donations in Judy’s memory may be made to the SickKids Foundation or the Canadian Liver Foundation.

Judy was Mom for many years and then Grandma to our children. Always calm, gentle and caring. Life’s changes created a distance, but I have always thought of her on Mother’s Day and her birthday. Your legacy will live on in your children and your grandchildren. I’m so very thankful to have had you in my life and our children’s lives.
Although distance played a part, you always remained in my mind and heart.
You will be missed. Thinking of Grandpa John, Dad John, Auntie Natalie, Uncle Andrew and Uncle Gabriel. Ava and Alexander will miss Grandma deeply. Much love.
