In Celebration of

Judith "Judy" English

January 19, 1942 -  August 25, 2021

In Loving Memory of Judith (Judy) English, 79, peacefully passed away on August 25, 2021, after a lengthy battle with arterial disease. Judy leaves behind her husband Tom of 52 years, children Lynn and Robin (Richard), grandchildren Macrae and Maya. She was "Nana Judy" to many and will be missed by her sisters, brothers, nieces, nephew, and many friends abroad.
Judy was the Head of Radiology in Halifax, Victoria General. It was when traveling to Barbados for an interview, that she met Tom and where their love story began. Once married and relocated to Toronto, Judy continued to work in the field of Radiology. Tom and Judy moved to Streetsville in 1975 to raise their family. A cancer survivor, Judy was a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society for decades and was a beloved grade 2 Sunday School teacher, cared for many neighbourhood friends, walked the kids to the Streetsville pool, made endless amounts of hot chocolate for backyard skating, was involved in school and other community organizations. For many years, Judy was the welcoming and familiar face in many local insurance companies.
Judy remembered everyone's birthday and was always there for each of us, whether with a "thinking of you" card, a pan of brownies, or her signature whipped shortbread cookies. Judy was always in touch, always caring, always loving, and will be dearly missed by many.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Judy's family would like to thank her wonderful doctors, palliative care providers as well as her friends and neighbours who gave her so much happiness.
