In Celebration of

Joseph Milando

March 19, 1936 -  January 20, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Milando. He died suddenly on January 20, 2022, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Patricia. Loving father of Mark and his wife Sona, Michael and his wife Sachiko, and the late Jennifer. Much loved grandfather of Gen and Kyle. Known for his dedication to family, he will be missed by his siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews at family gatherings.

Joe was well-loved and known for his strength, generosity and kindness, gregarious spirit, his dry sense of humour, his love of dancing, his dedication to his many pets over the years, and his endearing crankiness. He will be tremendously missed by all his family and friends, even as he remains in our hearts and memories.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves) on Monday from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass to be held from Nativity of Our Lord Church, 480 Rathburn Road, Etobicoke on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Trillium Health Partners – Mississauga Hospital and/or Dorothy Ley Hospice. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerandporter.ca

My sincerest condolences on the sudden loss of your father. I knew your father from some of the O’Donnell family gatherings and always found him a very friendly person. I have heard comments too on how he was always such a caring and generous person during his lifetime. May he now

To the Milando Family:
We worked with Joe at Ontario Hydro, spoke with him at the Pensioners' Luncheons and square danced with him at Christ the King Church where we had a lot of fun.
We will certainly miss him. Our sincere condolences for your loss.
