<div itemprop="description">Former Director of Education of the Dufferin Peel Roman Catholic School Board (from 1968 &ndash; 1982) <br />Peacefully passed away at home, on November 21, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was just shy of his 92nd birthday (December 7, 1923). Dad was a dedicated son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be dearly missed by all. He loved to golf and travel and did so into his nineties. His travels took him to places such as the Caribbean Islands, New Zealand, and Australia. Predeceased by his dearly loved wife of more than 50 years (Aurora) Rose Hugel, and his parents Katherine nee Ries and Matthias Hugel. Survived by his 5 sons and daughters-in-law: John and Vera, Stan and Carol, Bill, Matt and Chris, and Richard and Kimberly. He will be greatly missed by his 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren: Mark and wife Emily (our sincere thanks for taking care of Grandpa over the last 13 years, it means so much to the family); Lara and husband Brendan along with great grandchild James; Andrei and wife Dalene along with great grandchildren Erin and McKenna; Megan and husband Danny; and Melissa. Predeceased by his brother Adam (who is survived by wife Irene); sister Madeleine and husband Gerald Bailey; sister Mary (who is survived by husband Adam Hubert); brother Max and wife Ruth; sister-in-law Anne and Joe Gajeczki; and sister-in-law Clara Butkovich. He will also be sincerely missed by his sister Hattie and husband Claire Bolsby; nieces Viola (God Child) and Joanne Gajeczki; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. God bless, rest in peace.
