His life on earth completed, Bob Rohrer at age of 76 peacefully passed into eternal happiness at his home in Mississauga, Ontario on November 19, 2024. Loving, faithful husband for 32 years to his wife Donna (nee Mulligan). Brother to Dr. John William Patrick Rohrer M.D. (predeceased) and Cynthia Gorski (nee Kudrey), David G. Rohrer (Sally McGuire) and Barbara Ann Rohrer. Bob was born at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Windsor on May 17, 1948 to J. Bryce and Barbara Rohrer (nee Furlong).
A graduate of the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. Bob then attended but did not complete studies at the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. He then went on to his career in business, where for over 30 years through successive senior management positions he held specializing in both Human Resources and Labour Relations Management at large, global Manufacturing Corporations, Bob successfully completed numerous personal assignments throughout Canada, the United States, Ireland, China, Mexico and Europe. Bob ended his professional career as Chairman and President of Toronto based global Management Consulting Firm, Rohrer Consulting Corporation Inc., which he owned and operated. Bob was a Founding Member of Delta Chi Fraternity at the University of Windsor and the first Alumni Advisor to the Delta Chi Windsor Chapter.
A friend to many, Bob took great personal pride in developing long and lasting personal friendships with people he met at every stage of his life and career.
Early in adulthood Bob was challenged by a physical disability he suffered that remained with him through to the end of his life. Never one to capitulate to the challenges he experienced, Bob for well over 40 years fought and won his personal battle to live a full, long, challenging but very happy life.
Throughout his time on earth Bob lived with his Faith anchored to his Saviour Jesus Christ, and was His good and faithful servant.
A Celebration of life will be held at The Credit Valley Golf and Country Club, 2500 Old Carriage Road, Mississauga on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 2 – 5 p.m.
