Jose-Julian Calderon

August 3, 2003 -  January 3, 2021

Peacefully and surrounded by his mom and dad Jose-Julian Calderon passed away at Sick Kids Hospital on January 3rd, 2021 at the young age of 17 years.

Jose-Julian was born August 3rd, 2003 in Toronto, to parents Ana-Maria Forero & Ramon Calderon. The baby to a family of 8, Jose-Julian will be missed dearly by his parents and his siblings Michael, Kevin, Maiglen, Elizabeth and Stephanie. An amazing brother and a loving uncle his nieces and nephew will always cherish the moments they shared forever.

Jose-Julian loved to spend time with his family and friends, play sports, listen and create music, always knew what a good meal looked like and if you ever needed a laugh he was an expert. He loved taking trips to Colombia, breathing in the fresh air, playing soccer from dusk till dawn and having fun in the sun like the summer baby he was. He loved his Chaminade "brothers" and life itself.
He was known for his kind heart, beautiful smile, and eyes that could brighten even the darkest day.

At Jose-Julian's request an intimate service will be held in memory of his life. This service will be available for viewing via Live Stream on Wednesday January 6th at 4:00pm. https://youtu.be/v3mKVC58oaQ

Memorial donations may be made in Jose-Julian Calderon name to Sick Kids Foundation at 525 University Ave, Toronto, ON M5G 2L3. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the Oncology Staff at the Sick Kids Foundation for all their care, efforts, support and compassion.

I’m very heartbroken and give my deepest condolences to Jose’s family and friends. Although I cry today, I’m grateful to know he is with all of us. I’ll always remember him not only as a true friend but someone who leads by example on how to live a life full of love.

I love you man.
