Jorgina Pereira, age 94, passed away peacefully in the arms of her daughter, Sally Cordeiro on August 7th 2025. She was born April 23rd 1931 in a small village on the island of Sao Miguel, Portugal. Jorgina was born and raised in Sao Miguel, Portugal where she was part of a tightly knit community, rich in tradition, love and culture.

Guided by her deep faith, she lived a life rooted in compassion, humility, and service to others. Family was her greatest joy and highest calling; every gathering, tradition, and milestone was made brighter by her presence. She nurtured not only the bodies of her loved ones with her hospitality, but also their spirits with her wisdom, encouragement, and unwavering belief.

It is with tremendous pain that we say goodbye to my most precious and loving aunt Jorgina. In her heart she was filled with tender love for many; especially her children and their families. Aunt Jorgina had deep faith for God, one that I highly admired and she lived it without reserve. Her day began always with reciting and offering prayers to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit; as this was her priority and most desired necessity to fulfill before anything else needed to be done. Aunt Jorgina possessed wisdom and peace, that which is only given to one by the person of Jesus Christ. She believed it and received it. I am so proud of her and blessed to be her niece who will always hold her dearly in my heart. I love you so much Aunt Jorgina and I will miss you always. You will live in our hearts forever❤️
May GOD'S light shine upon you and may your soul rest in peace 🕯️🙏
