Passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the age of 71. John was surrounded, loved and deeply cared for by his family. He was always known for his unique sense of humor, creativity and a willingness to help others. John's life was his family. He will be missed by his wife Germaine, children Jayne (John) and Adam (Beth), grandchildren Sarah, Owen, Isabel and Dylan, and his siblings Jane (Frank) and Paul (Michelle). Sincere thanks goes out to the caring staff and doctors at St. Joseph's Health Centre, and special thanks to Dr. Irene Hussain and Nina for their compassion and support throughout John's illness. Memorial visitation to celebrate John’s life will be held at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto (at Windermere, east of the Jane subway) on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Health Centre 4L OLM.
